There's no doubt about it, Karley Sciortino is more badass Carrie Bradshaw. Author of the sex and relationship blog "Slutever," and Vogue column "Breathless," the Manhattanite isn't afraid to get real about everything from Tinder dates to BDSM to feminism and more. She's that smart, sexy, down to earth cool girl that everyone wants in a best friend, and thanks to her openness and candor, one conversation with Karley makes you feel like she's yours. Read on below to learn how she gets on top:

I hail from…
Upstate New York

My digs are now…
New York City

What my LinkedIn says I do…
I don’t have a LinkedIn, but if I did it would probably say “writer.”

What I say I do…
I do a lot of things. I founded the blog Slutever, which deals primarily with sexuality and relationships and their intersection with culture. I write a column for Vogue.com about sex and relationships called Breathless. I’m a newbie screenwriter. I make a variety of videos, short films and documentaries about random sex stuff :)

My desk is…
My bed. I work from home, and I rarely get out of bed. I find I write the best when I’m lying down, in my underwear.

When we say ‘condom’ you say…
Yes, please!

What’s in my bag right now is…
Makeup, my passport, a condom, dry shampoo, my phone, headphones, gum, cash, my debit card, metro card.

The song that’s stuck in my head…
Fetty Wap “Trap Queen”

My mantra is….
Play hard, play nice, communicate. I stole that from my friend Andrew Richardson, who stole it from a German dominatrix.

How do you get on top?
I think it’s important to just keep making things. I don't believe in quantity over quality, but I do think that being prolific is important, for me anyway. You're never going to be a great writer unless you force yourself to always be writing. And that goes for any type of creation. I don't believe in waiting until you're "inspired" to make work. I believe in being regimented.
